How does the Time Timer work?

To turn on the Time Timer, move the red disk to the desired time (up to 60 minutes). The red disk disappears as time passes, until it is completely gone. The red disk can be moved back and forth without damaging the mechanism, but careful handling obviously extends the life of the Time Timer.
